Company Profile / About Us The Lingerie Mart Story The concept of LingerieMart.com was all started in October 1997. Working out of a small unheated garage in Atlanta, Georgia, Steven Rapp (who previously worked for Maidenform and True Form Foundations in the 1980's) developed from scratch the LingerieMart.com website. The web site was launched in the first week of October 1997. That week the website received only 50 visitors. Today, our website receives approximately 8-10,000 unique visitors every day from every country worldwide. Our exposure on the Internet is very large for the intimate apparel industry, and we rank organically at the very top levels of Google and most other top search engines (especially for the keyword term "lingerie" and other wholesale "keyword" searches, i.e. wholesale thongs, bras, etc.). We can also reach over 18,000 of our established wholesale accounts daily via email to notify them of new products and promotions. (This is excellent if you are a manufacturer needing exposure to sell your products over the Internet). Lingerie Mart works directly with 100's of manufacturers around the world. We have positioned ourselves to maintain the most complete selection of all types of lingerie and related products you will find anywhere on the Internet. Being in the lingerie industry and business for over 25 years has allowed us to have trusted and loyal relationships with our factories and vendors. Our prices have been negotiated to be the lowest, since we deal only in large volume commitments from the manufacturers. In addition to the many brand names you see featured on Lingerie Mart, we also manage and oversee our own private label (Rebecca™), which is produced in several factories around the world, including China, Colombia, and Sri Lanka.
